Hit-n-Miss Co-Owner

Lynn Carey

I

am proud to say that I have spent my entire life on a beef cattle farm.  I have always been an animal lover which made farm life such a treasure for me.  Don’t get me wrong, farm life is a hard, demanding life, but is so rewarding.  Often times people ask me what I do on the farm.

Well, most times I say, what don’t I do, or I am the farmhand and do whatever needs to be done.  My job could be anything from feeding cattle, taking care of a newborn calf, paperwork, updating our website or social media page, to raking and hauling hay.

I am proud that I have been able to pick up where my parents left off farming.  I am also proud that Kenny and I were able to raise our children (and now our grandson) on the farm and teach them all the value and lessons that we were taught before them.

Community and helping others has always been a priority for our family.  Somehow we never learned the word “no” when asked to help with something or serve on a committee or board.  It has been an honor for me serve on several local boards including our local Farm Bureau board, Farm Bureau Women, Farmers Market, as well as a regional Angus board to name a few.
